Getting started

From zero to your first invoice in about ten minutes.

Everything you need is a free Lexe wallet and a zaptrain account. No bank, no processor, no approval wait.

  1. On your phoneDownload Lexe

    Get the Lexe app for iPhone or Android and sign up. Lexe is a self-custody Bitcoin Lightning wallet: the keys live on your phone, and only you can move the funds.

  2. In LexeCreate a receive-only client credential

    Open Lexe → Menu → Client credentials → Create. Choose Receive and nothing else, then copy the credential.

  3. On zaptrain.comCreate your zaptrain account

    Sign up with your email. Then go to Settings and paste the Lexe credential — zaptrain tests the connection on the spot.

  4. SettingsAdd your branding

    Business name, logo, brand colour and a default memo. They appear on every invoice email and payment page your customers see.

  5. InvoicesIssue your first invoice

    Add a customer, line items, taxes and a due date. Email it from zaptrain, or copy the link and send it by WhatsApp, SMS or your own email.

Why receive-only? A credential with only the Receive scope lets zaptrain create payment requests on your behalf — and nothing else. Money can come in; no money can ever leave your wallet through zaptrain. Zaptrain only accepts receive-only credentials — never grant the Send scope to zaptrain or any other service.
